Appearance Design and Comfortable Fit
The overall style of the Beyerdynamic AMIRON 300 is compact and simple, and the charging case adopts a square design. The brand logo is integrated into the case lid, which is very brand-style and also improves recognition. There is a groove on the front of the charging case, and a USB-C charging port and indicator light on the back.
The AMIRON 300 earbuds adopt an in-ear design and are very small in size, weighing only 4.4g (without eartip). The earbuds have a very good texture, feel smooth to the touch, and are not easy to leave fingerprints. Plus, AMIRON 300 supports IP54 dustproof and waterproof rating.
The design of AMIRON 300 earbuds is very light, and the in-ear design makes the wearing experience more stable and comfortable, and it is not easy to fall off while walking. Also, 5 sizes of eartips are available. There is also a good use experience in touch operation, supporting multiple touch gestures, and the touch is almost not delay and very sensitive.
Connectivity, App Support and Battery Life
The earbuds use the Bluetooth 5.3 protocol and support SBC, AAC and LDAC codec. Take the earbuds out of the charging case and they will automatically enter the pairing state. Also, the AMIRON 300 supports multipoint connection, meaning you can connect it to two devices at the same time and switch between them when you receive a call, or when you pause on one device, and play on the other.
Beyerdynamic AMIRON 300 supports the Beyerdynamic App for Android and iOS. The app includes firmware updates for the earbuds, displays battery status, preset EQ options, control settings, tone language, and activates low latency mode or LDAC. The app also lets you choose ANC settings and custom EQ.
The single battery life with ANC off is up to 10 hours, and the total battery life is up to 38 hours. The battery life with ANC on is up to 7 hours. The battery life will be further reduced when LDAC on. The case charges using USB-C or Qi wireless charging. Additionally, AMIRON 300 supports fast charging function – charging for 10 minutes can listen to music for 2 hours.
Noise Cancelling Performance
When ANC mode is turned on, most of the surrounding noise becomes very weak, and there is no uncomfortable strong ear pressure. Most of the noise can also be blocked in the subway. Listening to music will not cause serious sound distortion, and the sound quality of AMIRON 300 is basically the same when ANC on and off.
With transparency mode turned on, you can hear the surrounding sounds clearly, even if some sounds are some distance away from you. They have 6 built-in MEMS microphones and support call noise cancelling. Plus, the transparency mode and ANC level can be customized, and ANC wind noise detection can be activated.
Games and Video Playback
Beyerdynamic AMIRON 300 plays videos without issues on both Android and iPhone. There’s lipsync performance in video apps like TikTok, Netflix, YouTube and Apple TV.
The AMIRON 300 also has a dedicated low-latency mode you can activate from the Android and iPhone app. This helps to synchronize the sound effects with the action on your screen.
Acoustic Configuration and Sound Quality
Beyerdynamic AMIRON 300 uses a 10mm dynamic driver, supports LDAC codec, and can provide high-definition sound quality across the full frequency range. Plus, you can switch preset EQ or customize different sound effects via the app.
Its sounding is also surprising, with balanced tri-frequency density distribution, good texture, and delicate imaging. The sound resolution of musical instruments is particularly outstanding, with a strong sense of music; different instruments are accurately positioned, the front and back imaging and sequencing are very natural and loose, and the sense of presence is very strong.
The AMIRON 300 also has a very good hearing for popular vocals. The mid-low frequencies are full, passionate, and surging. The low-frequency density does not interfere with the clarity of the mid-high frequencies. The tri-frequency separation texture is good, and it also has a good sense of energy. The drum sound is thick, deep, and highly elastic. The vocal imaging is clear, full, warm, and emotional.
The soundstage is wide, the range seems to have no boundaries, it is very loose, and you won’t feel any squeeze in the sound. The clarity and density of the vocals are well controlled, and the timbre is slightly warm.
Conclusion
Beyerdynamic AMIRON 300 truly achieves the characteristics of an all-round warrior – comfortable to wear, strong noise cancelling ability, and no discomfort of strong ear pressure. Supporting low latency mode and LDAC codec, the sounding performance can compete with wired HiFi earphones.
