Appearance Design, Comfort and Battery Life
The charging case adopts an open storage design, the upper part is transparent, and the lower part is made of white acrylic material. I shook it a few times and found that the earphones are not loose, and they are still very stable – the disadvantage is that it is very easy to get dust and foreign objects.
Moondrop Space Travel earbuds use a long stem design, which is basically the same as Moondrop NEKOCAKE. Wearing it still fits the ear canal very well, and you won’t get tired after listening to music for a long time. Although the workmanship of the earbud cavity is not very airtight, the matte touch is smooth to the touch.
The battery capacity of the charging case is 380mAh, and the earbud is 37mAh. After the ANC mode is turned off, the single battery life is up to 4 hours, and the total battery life is up to 16 hours. The battery life after turning on the ANC mode is about 2.5 hours.
Connectivity, App Support and Control
The earbuds uses the Bluetooth 5.3 chip and supports SBC and AAC codec. When connecting for the first time, simply select “Moondrop Space Travel” in your phone’s Bluetooth device list to connect quickly.
Space Travel support the free MOONDROP Link APP. Functions such as touch control and EQ switching can be customized in the APP. There are only three EQ sound effects: Reference, Basshead, Monitor.
The top of the earbud stem is the touch control area, you can tap to answer call and pause/play music, double-tap to previous/next track, triple-tap to voice assistant on/off, and long press for 2s to switch the noise cancellation mode or end call.
Noise Cancellation, Games and Videos Playback
Moondrop Space Travel supports 35dB Wide-band Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode. The earbuds default to normal mode, which can be switched to noise cancellation mode when going out or commuting.
The normal mode is because the earbuds have a passive sound insulation effect after wearing them. After turning on the ANC mode, I found that the noise cancellation effect is much better than I imagined, and it can effectively deal with most noises.
The transparency mode is optimized for the human voice frequency range of 200~1000Hz. In this mode, we can clearly talk to people around us without being disturbed by environmental noise. Through the actual test – after turning on the transparency mode, it will not affect listening to songs, but also chat with friends.
Moondrop Space Travel supports music mode and game mode with the latency as low as 55ms. Playing games and watching videos is no problem – it works flawlessly on both Android and iPhone with perfect sound and picture sync.
Sound Quality Review of Moondrop Space Travel
The earbud uses 13mm titanium-plated dome diaphragm dynamic driver, with CCAW voice coil and N52 neodymium magnet, the sensitivity performance is very good.
The sound of Space Travel continues the tuning concept of Moondrop in the past two years, and they are all biased towards pan-pop style tuning. It still follows the frequency response characteristics of VDSF Target Response, showing a warm and soft tone in the general direction. The overall style is quite restored, real, and without obvious distortion – it is a TWS earbuds with solid imaging and calm.
The low-frequency quantity is moderate, the thickness is slightly thick, supplemented by comfortable overtones, loose air feeling, good extension, and strong enough force on the striking surface. The mid-frequency vocal distance is moderate, the imaging is large and clear, and the tooth sound is almost inaudible. The sound dyeing is not too much, and the emotion is delicate. The high-frequency is a bit dim, but the details are acceptable, and they are all interpreted in a soft and listenable form.
The soundstage performance is quite satisfactory, very typical of the popular packaged spherical soundstage – the energy is mainly concentrated in the middle part. The resolution of the vocal is relatively good, and the positioning of the instruments is also relatively reasonable. Don’t expect too much about the dynamics – I can only say that the conversion of strong and weak sounds is not bad, with a certain momentum, which is in line with the performance of this price. The transient speed is slow, and it is still the popular style of tuning.
Moondrop Space Travel vs Moondrop NEKOCAKE
Moondrop NEKOCAKE has better workmanship, richer EQ, and better call quality. Moondrop Space Travel retains the core basic experience, the most basic functions, the most useful unit configuration, and the appearance is more recognizable.

Conclusion
Moondrop Space Travel is a TWS earbuds that interprets the meaning of “High Cost-performance”. The sound quality is really good, and I was pleasantly surprised by its Active Noise Cancellation, stable connection and game mode. Disadvantages of sound: the maximum volume is not loud enough, the extension at both ends is average, and the overall quality is insufficient.
