Appearance Design and Comfortable Fit
The charging case and earbuds feature the same SHIBO coating as the Final ZE8000, which has a delicate texture and is anti-slip and anti-fingerprint. The USB-C charging port and pairing button are located at the bottom of the case.
The Final ZE3000 SV is an upgraded version of the ZE3000, but the appearance design differences are quite noticeable. The ZE3000 SV adopts a more compact bean-shaped design while remaining lightweight – each earbud weighs only 4g, making them almost feel-free when worn.
The comfort of the ZE3000 SV is impressive. The lightweight design combined with the ergonomic structure greatly reduces the pressure on the ear.
The earbuds feature an in-ear design that conforms to the natural curve of the ear canal and come with silicone eartips in various sizes to accommodate different ear shapes. Additionally, the surface of the earbuds is coated with a skin-friendly material, minimizing discomfort during prolonged use.
The ZE3000 SV also offers an IPX4 waterproof rating, which is perfectly adequate for everday commuting use.
Connectivity, App Support, and Battery Life
The earbuds uses a Bluetooth 5.3 chip and supports SBC, AAC and LDAC codecs. Final ZE3000 SV has strong bluetooth connection stability and can still provide reliable connections when 10 meters away from the device without any connection or sound hiccups.
Also, ZE3000 SV supports multipoint connection and can connect smartphone and PC at the same time. For example, you can pair your tablet and smartphone, and you can receive a smartphone incoming while listening to music on a tablet.
Note: If you enable the multipoint connection, you cannot use the high-quality codec “LDAC”.
The Final ZE3000 SV supports the Final Connect app for iOS and Android. The app includes firmware updates for the earbuds, displays battery status, offers noise cancellation options, multipoint connection on/off, control settings, game mode on/off, and more.
Plus, it is equipped with a “7-band EQ” that can be adjusted to your favorite sound quality.
Battery Life, Games and Video Playback
Final ZE3000 SV plays videos without issues on both Android and iPhone. There’s lipsync performance in video apps like TikTok, YouTube and Apple TV.
The ZE3000SV also has a dedicated low-latency game mode you can activate from the Android and iPhone app. This helps to synchronize the sound effects with the action on your screen, and the latency as low as 60ms.
The charging case has a battery capacity of 400mAh and the earbuds is 40mAh. With ANC off, the earbuds provide up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge, and the charging case can fully recharge them three times. The battery life drops to around 5 hours with ANC on.
Enabling LDAC further reduces battery life. The case charges via a USB-C cable and does not support wireless charging.
Active Noise Cancelling of the ZE3000 SV
Using the dedicated app, you can switch between noise cancelling mode, listening mode, and wind cut mode. The Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) worked well, and no deterioration of sound quality was felt.
Equipped with “Comfort ANC,” which balances sound quality and noise isolation performance. Thanks to its independently developed algorithm, this technology prioritizes sound quality and comfort. When ANC is enabled, there is almost no noticeable ear pressure.
Wind noise is slightly noticeable on the ZE3000 SV. However, it includes a dedicated “wind cut mode” that effectively filters out wind noise, reducing the sound of wind hitting the microphone and making it easier to hear playback sound.
Sound Quality of the Final ZE3000 SV
The ZE3000SV built-in 10mm F-Core SV dynamic driver. Additionally, it is equipped with “F-LINK Port” acoustic structure that optimizes pressure within the earbuds’ acoustic space.
The ZE3000 SV retains Final’s signature warm and thick sound profile with a relatively relaxed texture. Especially with the support of LDAC encoding, the amount of information is no worse than that of wired headphones. The midrange is warm and natural, with clear and transparent vocals that convey emotion effectively.
The tuning of the ZE3000 SV focuses on the midrange, with restrained bass extension. The bass quantity is not overly abundant but emphasizes power and punch without interfering with the midrange. The bass is deep and powerful, with excellent elasticity and no muddiness – even complex symphony can be clearly displayed.
The highs is a little darker and has a certain amount of smear, which will make the highs sound smoother and better set off the midrange vocals without any burrs. The highs is transparent and clear, with outstanding resolution, giving the sound greater penetration.
The sound quality is more than the Final ZE3000, the sharpness of the highs has increased a little. The smoothness of the ZE3000 VS, the size of the soundstage, and the naturalness seem to be inherited well.
Conclusion:
While we cannot highlight affordability as the main selling point of these earbuds, from a technical and overall experience perspective, the Final ZE3000 SV remains one of the TWS benchmarks worth considering.
