This time, I got the Xiaomi Watch S1 in obsidian black. After getting it, this outer packaging design makes people feel a kind of atmosphere. The outer packaging is not the minimalist style of Xiaomi’s usual Mijia White color.
There is the product name “XIAOMI WATCH S1” on the front of the outer package, which uses a three-dimensional design similar to relief, which can present the feeling of artistic fonts under the light. The overall color of the outer packaging is light black and has been treated similar to brushing, and the overall look has a sense of luxury.
The product name “XIAOMI WATCH S1” is also printed in white on the front and back of the outer package.

The watch lays flat on the front, and the overall design is very atmospheric.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 screen uses a 1.43-inch AMOLED high-definition retina screen with a high refresh rate of 60Hz, allowing users to experience more details, a larger field of view, and a smoother experience. In actual use, the screen of the watch is bright and colorful, and the refresh rate of 60Hz breaks the stereotype that the smart watch is stuck and blurred in the past.
All Xiaomi Watch S1 series are equipped with a sapphire glass mirror that is only used in high-end watches. The entire screen has a high-end appearance, smooth touch, stronger, more transparent, and more wear-resistant. The process of mirror surface is also not simple. First, the crystal is obtained by using natural sapphire seed crystals at high temperature through long pulling growth, and then tens of hours of annealing is required. If there is no master operation, the yield rate will be very low.
Sapphire material is not only a glass screen for appearance, it has higher purity and extremely high hardness than natural gemstones after artificial processing. It not only has the excellent mechanical properties of sapphire, but also has good optical properties. On the premise of ensuring permeability, the quartz rolling test shows that the scratch resistance of sapphire is 1200 times that of glass.
There are two digital crowns on one side of the Xiaomi Watch S1 smartwatch, which support the operation of the watch by pressing, and the speaker opening is under the crown.
The middle frame of Xiaomi Watch S1 all watches is made of 316L austenitic stainless steel. From the official introduction, we know that the middle frame of Xiaomi Watch S1 has gone through 30 processes. Invite senior watch polishers to finely polish the middle frame, so that whether the watch is brushed, matte or highlighted, it reveals a high level and high texture.
There is an air pressure hole on the other side of the watch, which is used for the air pressure sensor to sense the outside air pressure, making the watch your little assistant for mountaineering.
On the back of the Xiaomi Watch S1, the ratio of the strap to the dial is larger to enhance the business style of the watch.

The Xiaomi Watch S1 strap uses a card-pin sliding buckle, and you can easily change the strap by turning the sliding buckle, and you can switch any style with you.
This one in my hand uses a fluororubber strap, which is more comfortable to fit, smoother and more comfortable than silicone, and fluororubber has stronger stain resistance, which is fashionable and not afraid of sun and sweat erosion.
The Xiaomi watch S1 can also choose a leather strap. The leather strap is specially made of high-quality first-layer calfskin, and the whole piece is cut in one piece to retain the natural texture of the leather.

| Flagship experience, keep improving
In daily wear, Xiaomi Watch S1 can also act as a normal watch. It supports raising your hand to wake up, and it is very convenient to watch the time, current body data or to operate the watch.
After the watch was turned on I set up an astronaut dial. Thanks to the AMOLED high-definition retina screen, the clarity and transmittance of the dial are particularly good.
There are more built-in dials to choose from in the settings, and the versatile dials match a good mood every day.
After the Xiaomi Watch S1 wakes up, you can swipe the screen to the right to see many well-designed card components, which is convenient for understanding your physical condition and exercise data in real time.
The toolbar is designed very intimately, and you can see buttons such as “do not disturb, raise your hand to wake up, mute switch, flashlight, automatic drain, settings” and so on. These are functions that are highly dependent in daily life or needed in emergencies.
Swipe the watch to the right to see the second page of information. Mainly sports data, health data and sleep data, the UI design is very cute.
The third page of the card desktop shows the calories consumed today, the weather today, the current blood oxygen status and the most commonly used outdoor running functions.
Following my finger swipe, we came to the fourth page of the watch’s desktop. This page shows “watch battery, steps, music playback”.
The last page of the watch’s desktop is the Xiaoai voice assistant. You can ask Xiaoai to turn on the lights, and Xiaoai will become a smart home butler in seconds to turn on the lights for you. If you can’t find your phone, call it Xiaoai, and the phone will vibrate and sound, so you don’t have to worry about losing it. Setting an alarm clock can be done in one sentence.
Press the crown in the lower right corner to directly enter the various functions of the sports page. At present, the watch supports 117 sports modes, of which 3 modes also support automatic recognition. Feature-rich, you can make your own exercise plan.
Xiaomi Watch S1 upgrades dual-frequency GNSS. Support L1+L5 dual-frequency GNSS, support four kinds of satellite positioning (BeiDou, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS five satellite positioning systems at the same time positioning) to achieve more accurate positioning. Support BeiDou 3, BeiDou B1C B2A satellites, and bring more accurate trajectory data for outdoor sports with a new assisted positioning strategy.
Press the digital crown in the upper right corner to go directly to the desktop. The whole process is very smooth, and you can choose the APP when you get to the desktop. Xiaomi watches have built-in apps for easy daily use. By connecting to the mobile phone, you can also download more third-party APPs, including Alipay, various maps, music and other APPs to enrich the experience.
The UI of the desktop has been carefully designed, and the icon in the center will be enlarged, so there is no need to worry about accidental touch.
The way the Xiaomi Watch S1 is connected to the mobile phone is also very convenient. After downloading the APP, click Add Device to associate the watch with the mobile phone to realize the use of various functions.
Download the Xiaomi Wearable APP on your phone and connect to Xiaomi Watch S1. After the connection is completed, the data of the watch will be associated with the APP soon, and the mobile phone will also record the daily data to form a quantitative graph so that users can have a real-time understanding of their own body.
If you are worried that the dials are not enough, there are also 200 online dials and special business dials in the mobile APP, allowing you to switch watch styles seamlessly.
Click the “My” tab to design personal information, and my favorite is the “Sedentary Reminder” function. Nowadays, a large number of office workers are in a sub-healthy state due to long-term sitting in front of the computer and lack of exercise. With the function of Xiaomi Watch S1, you can get up and exercise your body properly at ordinary times to relieve physical fatigue caused by sedentary time.
Swipe down on the phone to set various functions of the watch. It includes functions such as “widget management, application layout setting, raising hand to wake up, sleep mode, down key customization, emergency contact setting, disarming the phone, Xiaoai skill center, voice optimization and usage guide”.
Using the watch for outdoor running functions, map data and track data can be synchronized to the mobile phone, and the mobile phone can also view the previous exercise data.
When we use the Xiaomi Watch S1 for a period of time, the watch will transmit our data to the mobile phone to analyze the health of our body, so as to provide us with exercise suggestions under the current physical condition.
Use the wireless charging base to charge the watch, and the watch will display cool charging effects. Xiaomi Watch S1 uses a 470mAh battery, which can last up to 12 days in standard battery life and 24 days in long battery life mode.
When a call comes in, Xiaomi Watch S1 will display the caller’s name or phone number. Functions such as answering calls and voices can be realized through the watch, which is a very convenient function when it is inconvenient to use a mobile phone.

Xiaomi Watch S1’s entry into high-end wearable devices this time can be said to be a successful attempt. As far as today’s basic technology is concerned, if a smart watch needs to put more components in a very small volume to achieve more functions, the cost will increase greatly. Then in the case of hardware functions, in order to make the watch have a better experience, Xiaomi gave its own answer.
Under the condition of ensuring the same functions as the flagship smart watches on the market, Xiaomi took the lead in equipping the Xiaomi Watch S1 with a price of 1,000 yuan with a sapphire glass cover. The middle frame of the watch carefully polished by a number of masters, and the refined calfskin leather strap. Not only the screen cover is powerful, but the display screen is also very good. The 1.43″ AMOLED retina screen and the pixel density of 326PPI make the watch screen a visual feast for users in terms of look and feel.

Supporting multi-functional NFC use, the watch can be a handheld terminal for quick payment, It can also be an access card or a car key.
The health function of the watch is also remarkable, supporting all-weather heart rate/blood oxygen/sleep monitoring, and the oxygen detection function also supports 10min/30min detection. Vitality indicators are visually upgraded (steps, calories, standing exercise duration), and the vitality rainbow is used to make various data clear at a glance, and support the target customization of medium and high-intensity activity duration and effective standing.
